Boy Smells began as an experiment in candle-making in the Los Angeles kitchen of co-founders and partners Matthew Herman and David Kien. Both fashion veterans – who worked in design and product development – they began by making the things they’d want to use daily, products that were fluid, essential, but also accessible.

SMOKY+FLORAL. Inspired by the subversive floral photographs of Gregory Crewdson, Cinderose exposes the sinister side of beauty. Cosmetic notes of rose de mai, tuberose, and hedione and are mixed with burnt spices and smoked woods to create a scent that is beautifully troubling. A clash of traditionally feminine and masculine notes, this scent deals in polarities that are undeniably addictive.
